Privacy policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Hermes Personal Agent is a private, self-hosted application used only by its owner.
Google user data
Hermes accesses the owner's Gmail account only after the owner grants permission through Google OAuth. It searches for narrowly defined service emails required by local automations, reads the relevant message content, and may remove a processed message from the Inbox while retaining it in the Gmail account.
Use and storage
Google user data is used only to perform the owner's requested automations. OAuth credentials are stored on equipment controlled by the owner. Message content is processed locally and is not used for advertising, profiling, or training models.
Sharing
Hermes does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties. Data is sent only to Google as necessary to use the Gmail API and to the service involved in the automation when the owner has requested that action.
Retention and deletion
Hermes retains only the credentials and limited operational state needed to run the automation. The owner can revoke access at any time through Google Account permissions and can delete locally stored credentials and operational data.
